General Questions

Do I have to pay any amount to receive treatment at Centros SPEM?
Centros SPEM will provide you with comprehensive medical care and all the necessary treatments (both outpatient and inpatient) until you are medically discharged, without any payment required, unless your insurance policy is not in force, your premiums are not up to date, or you are the at-fault driver covered only by the compulsory insurance.

The expenses will be sent directly to the insurance company responsible for the payment.

Who pays for your medical care?

The insurance company of the vehicle responsible for the accident pays for the medical care, even if you are the one at fault.

The only case in which the insurance company will not cover the medical expenses is when the driver of the vehicle involved is the sole participant (there is no other party involved) and only has the compulsory insurance policy.

The public healthcare system does not cover treatments resulting from a traffic accident, except when there is no insurance company responsible for the payment.

What do I need to get started?

To start with us, please provide the following information:

  • You must inform us of the location of the accident.
  • Bring the accident report form.
  • Provide the identification details of the vehicles involved and their drivers.
  • Also, let us know the name of your insurance company.
  • We will contact your insurance company and take care of all the administrative procedures.
  • Submit the emergency report with a date within 72 hours after the accident.
Who should choose the doctor or medical center?
In some cases, insurance companies may request a change of center or choose one on behalf of the patient. However, you are not obliged to change your medical center or doctor, as you have the right to freely choose your rehabilitation center.

Our diagnosis will always be objective and impartial.

About Our Services

Traumatology
Traumatology focuses on diagnosing, treating, rehabilitating, and preventing diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
Unlike a rheumatologist, a traumatologist provides a different perspective on the injury, as their goal is to treat tendon, bone, and joint injuries or abnormalities through surgical and orthopedic procedures.
Rehabilitation
The objectives in Rehabilitation, as in any other science, consist of setting goals to be achieved through treatment.
Planning involves the detailed design of the actions required to achieve these objectives.
However, both concepts—objectives and planning—are secondary to the prior identification of the problem, which is, in other words, a physiotherapy diagnosis.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists use methods such as exercise, massage, hot and cold packs, and electrical stimulation to help strengthen muscles, relieve pain, and improve movement.
They also teach exercises to help prevent injuries and loss of mobility.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a manual therapeutic discipline that places special emphasis on the structure of the body.
To identify the cause of any health imbalance, the osteopath uses all the necessary modern diagnostic tools (MRI, X-rays, etc.) as well as their main instrument: the hand.
The osteopath’s hand feels and listens to the movement of the body’s different structures (joints, muscles, fasciae, cranial bones, viscera, etc.) in order to detect and treat the source of the problem.
