Legal Rights

The victim of a traffic accident has the right to choose the lawyer or legal representation they prefer, even if they already have legal defence coverage included in their vehicle insurance policy.

General Questions

What legal rights does the accident victim have?
All vehicles in circulation must have valid Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance (SRCO).
This insurance is the minimum legal requirement to drive a car. In most cases, these policies also include additional coverage such as theft, glass damage, or roadside assistance.

Regarding legal matters, in the event of an accident, the rights are very similar to those related to medical care: the victim of a traffic accident has the right to choose the lawyer or legal representation they prefer, even if they already have legal defence included in their vehicle insurance policy.

There is a six-month period from the date of the accident to file a claim through criminal proceedings, and one year through civil proceedings.

In the case of a pedestrian accident, the injured party has the right to claim compensation for medical expenses, injuries, and material damages.

Similarly, passengers of vehicles involved in an accident — whether motorcycles, cars, or buses — always have the right to compensation, just like the drivers.

Where can you go after an accident?
After the police report and the corresponding accident report have been completed, you must see a doctor if you have sustained any injuries, so that a medical report can be issued. This document will also be useful for any future claims. In some cases, medical assistance is provided at the scene of the accident, in which case there will also be an ambulance report.

About Our Services

Traumatology
Traumatology focuses on diagnosing, treating, rehabilitating, and preventing diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Unlike a rheumatologist, a traumatologist can offer a different perspective on the injury, as their goal is to treat tendon, bone, and joint injuries or abnormalities through surgical and orthopedic procedures.
Rehabilitation
The objectives in Rehabilitation, as in any other science, consist of setting goals to be achieved through treatment. Planning is the detailed development of the actions required to achieve these objectives. However, both concepts, objectives and planning, are secondary to the prior identification of the problem, which is, in other words, a physiotherapy diagnosis.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists use methods such as exercise, massage, hot and cold packs, and electrical stimulation to help strengthen muscles, relieve pain, and improve movement. They also teach exercises to help prevent injuries and loss of mobility.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a manual therapeutic discipline that places special emphasis on the structure of the body. To identify the cause of any health imbalance, the osteopath uses all the necessary modern diagnostic tools (MRI, X-rays, etc.) as well as their main instrument: the hand. The osteopath’s hand feels and listens to the movement of the body’s different structures (joints, muscles, fasciae, cranial bones, viscera, etc.) in order to detect and treat the source of the problem.
